About Us

Margadarshak Defence Career Academy was founded by Late Lt Col Sudhakar Dalvi (Retd) on 14th December 1998 at Thane. After successfully running the academy at Thane, Dadar branch was opened four years later. The aim was to guide, coach and train candidates who aspire to join Indian Army, Navy, Air-Force and Coast-Guard as officers. The Academy trains and prepares candidates for NDA and NA, CDS written examination as well as Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview.

About the Director:

Since 2006, after graduation Priyadarshini Dalvi joined Margadarshak Defence Career Academy as a Teacher, she has been teaching English, Geography and History to NDA and CDS aspirants at Thane and Dadar branches.

Since 2010, she has taken over as a Deputy Director of Margadarshak Defence Career Academy and handling recruitment of teachers, conducting their interviews, doing research on syllabus of NDA and CDS classes, making lesson plans and discussing same with relevant teachers, guiding them on nitty-gritties of each lesson of subject under consideration.

Counselling the student and parent about the student’s performance in class and tests so that the student can improve and crack NDA/CDS exam. Due to her efforts the students found NDA/CDS papers easy and cleared exam successfully.

Late Lt Col Sudhakar Dalvi as a Group Testing Officer (GTO)

Late Lt Col Sudhakar Dalvi completed Group Testing Officer’s (GTO) training from Defence Institute of Psychological Research, (DIPR) New Delhi in May 1989 and joined 11 Services Selection Board (SSB) Allahabad in November 1989. He had three tenures at 11 SSB, Allahabad and one tenure at 17 SSB, Bengaluru. During his tenures at SSB, he assessed more than 5000 candidates, including the first batch of women commission in August 1992 at 11 SSB Allahabad.

Quest to learn:

Always known for his immense knowledge, experience and intellectual pursuits, he further pursued and completed management degree in HR from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management (JBIMS), Mumbai, immediately after his retirement, thus added another feather in his cap.
